Today’s cricketing world differs much from the way it was played in 20th century as well as early 21st century.If we look in past it was a much balanced game like field rules were more bowler friendly , you could have five fielders outside the circle which is now reduced to four.Pitches used to provide balance between bat and ball but nowadays most of the pitches are quite batting friendly especially,india and england in odis,which gets us to the real question:how fitness is playing a role in all these?and why should a fitness test be given more importance than the talent and current form of a player.
